Deep breath is inspired by Tahlequah also known as J35, She is part of the endangered southern residents in the northeastern pacific ocean. She is the matriarch, and has endured much loss since 2018, including 2 calves, her mother and believed to be father. She carried both of her deceased calves for days after they passed.

I try to imagine what brings her any solace and think her surviving young do just that, one of hers is Phoenix J57
