Tokitae or known as Lolita was a female orca from the southern residents. She was captured in 1970 and passed away in 2023.
She spent almost her whole life in captivity, she belonged in the pacific with her family. Now reunited with her ancestors I try to imagine her swimming free and happy as depicted in my painting.
